Maitha from Peony & Blue shares her packing tips
Packing for a holiday can be a pretty stressful task – if you’re like me, what you wear depends as much upon your mood as it does on practical elements like what you’re going to be doing or even the weather!
It’s obviously not possible to predict how you’ll feel from day to day a week in advance so when I pack I try to cover all eventualities.
The other complication then is that I hate hauling heavy bags on trains and planes! There is nothing better than leaving on a great holiday knowing you won’t have back ache by the time you get there. Top tip – pack light!
So, my plan of action for light and fashionable packing is to pack what I like to call a ‘Holiday Capsule Wardrobe’. Pack classic items that can be worn from day to night or footwear that you know will suit more than just one occasion/outing while you’re on holiday.
Obviously this will vary hugely depending on what kind of trip you’re planning but here at BeachThursday we love a beach break! So here are my capsule wardrobe suggestions for a beach holiday. Hope you like them!
