Montanita is a small coastal town in Ecuador which is a big favorite of nomads traveling along the “Gringo trail”. It is known for it’s surf, laid back culture and full moon parties. You can learn to surf and speak Spanish at this little place right on the beach, MontaƱita Spanish School. Learning a little Spanish is extremely handy when going through these small coastal towns. The main mode of transport is public bus and it is easy to end up on the wrong bus, heading in the opposite direction. So do yourself a favur and get some lessons, it`s well worth it.

Gorgeous shot! I’m tempted to 1. learn to surf and 2. learn more Spanish!
