Bondi Beach is well known among tourists, but also locals for its laid back beach lifestyle, cafés and boutiques. You can easily spend a couple of hours here relaxing on the sandy beach or if you`re more active catch a wave. There are plenty of places to go for a snack as well.
It`s the closest beach to the center of Sydney (only 7 km). You can easily take a bus or train to famous Bondi Beach from the center. We took the number 333 from Circular Quay in Sydney and bought a bus ticket at a convenience store or you can also purchase them at newsagencies. When making a trip to Bondi Beach, make sure you don`t confuse it with Bondi Junction which is still 3 km from the beach. They do have a lot of shops at Bondi Junction and you can change buses if you need to. The 333 is a direct bus to the beach though and takes about 45 minutes from the city depending on traffic.
