Rise and shine, its a beach day

Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia

Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast in Australia

There is a beach that has given me so many beautiful memories. It’s a place that I could quite easily call home, if it weren’t for the travel bug that bit hard a few years ago. Coolum Beach is located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia and while it has become more & more popular over the years, it still holds its small town beauty while the beach provides some of the best surf breaks in Queensland.

Of course being on the Sunshine Coast doesn’t mean you have to fall in love with just one beach. There are so many gorgeous sandy beaches, with Coolum Beach just the beginning of an unbroken beach that stretches 17km (11mi) up to Sunshine Beach, near Noosa.

While you are enjoying the Sunshine Coast, you can explore the wonder that is the World Heritage listed, Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world. Or one of the many national parks, including the Glass Mountains National Park & Noosa National Park.

But personally, the reason Coolum Beach is my favourite beach in the world is because two of my dearest friends held their wedding ceremony on the peninsula overlooking this beautiful place.
